11/27/07-Police are looking for items (including a bedspread similar to the one shown to the right) along Hwy 54 to Ft Scott and Hwy 69 south to Baxter Springs, which may be evidence in the disappearance of Emily. Police have asked the public to be on the lookout.
11/27/07-The car Mireles was believed to be driving has been found near Vernon,Texas. Vernon is south of the Oklahoma/Texas border on Hwy 283, north west of Wichita Falls.
11/29/07-Police find a female body consistent with Emily's description east of El Dorado along U.S. 54. Police have not confirmed the body is that of Emily Sander.
11/30/07-Autopsy results still unavailable for the body found east of El Dorado.
12/1/07-Autopsy results confirm the body found east of El Dorado is that of Emily Sander.
12/3/07-Funeral arrangements set for Thursday for Emily Sander.

Emily was last seen November 23, 2007 at a bar called The Retreat, east of El Dorado, Kansas. She is a student at Butler County Community College, and lives in El Dorado. She was last seen leaving with 24 year old Israel Mireles, who is a person of interest and is described as a Hispanic male, 5'6" and weighs 130 lbs. Emily's car was found by police, still parked at The Retreat, and foul play is suspected in this case. Police believe Emily and Mireles, may have visited The El Dorado Motel after leaving the bar. Mireles is known to be traveling with his 16 year old girlfriend, Victoria Martens, and there are some indications they may have left the state and may travel to Oklahoma or Texas, or may be near the Mexican border. Mireles and Martens also have ties to Baxter Springs, Kansas. They may be traveling in a green or gray 2007 Ford Taurus, with a Kansas tag number XUJ 487. Police don't believe Emily is still with Mireles.
