Medical Conditions: Carl was prescribed medication to treat a mental illness, however he stopped taking the medication by the time of his disappearance. He may be suicidal.
Carl was last seen in Paola, Kansas on February 25, 2004, and he asked his mother to pick up his son from school. He hasn't been heard from again, and a month after his disappearance, his car was found abandoned behind a farmhouse in rural Linn, County, Kansas. Carl would often go duck hunting in this area. In May of 2004, Carl's mother was cleaning his apartment and she found a receipt for a box of bullets and a handgun. The receipt was dated just before Carl went missing. It's unknown if this has anything to do with his disappearance, but it has been theorized that Carl may have taken his own life, however there is no evidence to support this.
