Kathryn was last seen on April 29, 1993 at 4:30 AM at a Kwik Trip in Salina, Kansas. The Kwik Trip is located at 1727 W. Crawford, and a surveillance photo took the last known picture of Kathryn. Her L'eggs Hosiery delivery van was missing, and blood was found outside a storage unit she used. Plice found the van, its exterior was splattered with mud, and the interior soaked with blood, parked in a parking lot of Russell's Restaurant at 649 Westport. The restaurant was closed at the time for repairs. Kathryn was separated from her husband and living in Salina with her daughter. Police speculate Kathryn was attacked when she went to the storage unit after filling the van up with gas. There was a large pool of blood found outside the storage building and a small amount of blood found inside. The door to the unit was open, and it appeared Kathryn had been loading the van with merchandise when she was attacked. She was last seen wearing a light colored shirt, dark slacks, and a blue and white Kansas City Royals jacket. She was a route salesperson for L'egg's. Salina police have classified Kathryn's case as a homicide, however no body has been found, and no one has been charged with a crime in connection with her disappearance.
